A large local authority in New Zealand seeks an experienced Senior Risk Advisor to lead and enhance risk management practices. You will engage with various stakeholders and promote a culture of professional risk management. The role requires over 7 years of experience, knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 31000, and strong communication skills. This position offers a competitive salary range of NZD 110,000 to NZD 130,000 and flexible working options.

You will be a seasoned risk leader with experience in developing and embedding frameworks and inspiring risk management across large organisations. You are confident engaging with diverse stakeholders from senior executives and elected members to frontline teams and can translate complex risk concepts into practical action. With excellent facilitation and communication skills, you’re comfortable coaching others, building capability, and guiding best practice. You would feel comfortable to use or learn to use basic te reo Māori in your work and have an appreciation for tikanga in a professional setting.

The salary range is between 110,000k to 130,000k, based on skillset and experience.
