Job description

The Role:

As a Registered Nurse with Oceania based at Elmwood, you will have the opportunity to practice at full scope within a nurse-led service. Your clinical expertise and judgment will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care and support to our residents. You will coordinate daily care needs, inspire others, and build strong connections and relationships with our residents and their families.

Please note, this is a fixed-term position covering parental leave.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Coordinating the daily care needs of our residents while inspiring and supporting others
  • Providing comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions, both independently and collaboratively
  • Making critical decisions regarding resident care and demonstrating autonomy
  • Building connections and relationships with residents and their families (and allied health professionals in the community)
  • Providing leadership and guidance to care staff and team members.

What You'll Bring:

  • A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
  • A commitment to delivering excellent service
  • Previous experience using clinical systems
  • Desirable: InterRai experience (but not essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management abilities
  • The capability to coach and mentor other staff
  • Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis

Job Details:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $36.33 to $51.17 based on experience
  • Minimum of 32 hours per week
  • Fortnightly roster includes weekends and night shift
