Job summary

Stellar Recruitment Pty is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in New Zealand to manage commercial and financial aspects of construction projects. The role covers estimating, tendering, procurement, progress claims, variations, reporting and final accounts, with emphasis on accuracy and sense of urgency.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years NZ experience, be highly organised, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. A NZ driver licence is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the NZ market.
• Current NZ driver licence is required.
• Experience in the commercial management of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage preparation of construction estimates and tenders.
• Assist with final tender review prior to submission.
• Prepare trade packages and scopes of work and identify subcontractors and suppliers.
• Establish and maintain the project commercial budget after award.
• Prepare and manage client progress claims in accordance with construction contracts.
• Identify variations early and maintain a variation register.
• Maintain accurate and organised project records.
• Oversee project financial performance and provide accurate commercial information.
• Assist with commercial strategy and risk identification.
