We are currently seeking Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing team based in Christchurch. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in large-scale projects, with a strong eye for detail and be a proactive team player. Responsibilities

• Manage project documentation, prepare financial reports (progress claims, final accounts, labour analysis), and oversee procurement, cash flow, and project changes.
• Establish procurement plans, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, manage subcontractor payments, and track contract instructions and charges.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensure compliance with contract requirements, monitor financial performance, and approve project expenditure invoices.
• Provide supervision and guidance to intermediate and junior quantity surveyors while upholding Leighs’ leadership values and competency framework.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 10+ years relevant industry experience in quantity surveying
• Recognised and relevant professional QS qualification
• Skill in collaborating effectively with others to achieve common goals and maintain a positive team environment.
• Expertise in predicting future expenses and income using financial tools for informed decision-making.
• Knowledge of applying business principles, including market analysis, financial understanding, and risk management, to drive organisational success.
