Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for the Ōtaki to North Levin - Te Pae o Tararua project. You will lead quality plans, audits, and conformity activities across a multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery meets standards and client expectations.

You will work with internal teams, subcontractors, designers and clients to drive improvements and maintain high-quality outcomes on site. This role requires a Civil Engineering background and hands-on project QA experience.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction (NZQA level 7 preferred).
• Experience as a Quality Engineer on infrastructure or major projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, RAMM and Road Eng.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001 and related frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of QA systems, audits and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans and ITPs.
• Drive quality planning, assurance and control activities across the project.
• Monitor project performance against Quality KPIs and report monthly.
• Coordinate audits, audits actions and quality records.
• Conduct on-site quality audits and inspections across the project.
• Collaborate with teams and subcontractors to implement improvements.
• Monitor non-conformances and close-out corrective actions.
• Identify quality risks and drive practical solutions.
