Job summary

FMG is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Digital & Data team in Wellington or Palmerston North. You will lead QA activities, shape test strategies, and help ensure high-quality outcomes across the software lifecycle.

You will work in a cross-functional agile team, influence design decisions, mentor peers, and drive continuous QA improvements. Insurance/Guidewire experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in QA, including test strategy development and execution.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with modern QA tools, methodologies, and test frameworks, along with some experience in business analysis.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk and identify root causes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.
• A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for quality.
• Experience within the Insurance sector and/or Guidewire (specifically Policy Centre) system would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring quality outcomes by proactively identifying, preventing, and tracking defects

We're looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Digital & Data team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable technology outcomes that support our business and our clients.

As a Senior QA Analyst, you'll work within a cross-functional product delivery team to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

You'll take the lead in shaping test strategies, improving QA practices, and influencing how products are designed and delivered - ensuring we build robust, reliable solutions from the outset.
