Job summary

sKids is seeking a Senior Programme Leader to oversee a cluster of out-of-school care sites in Central/East Auckland. You will lead day-to-day delivery, ensure child safety, and manage a dedicated staff team to deliver high-quality programmes across sites.

You will drive operational excellence, maintain staff-to-children ratios, and coordinate rosters, budgets, and policy implementation to ensure consistent service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience including a leadership role within a childcare or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of out-of-school care programmes and relevant safety regulations.
• Excellent organisational, administration and leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Ability to work full time without restrictions.
• Ability to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Programme Delivery: Lead the day-to-day delivery of care programmes across clusters.
• Safety Assurance: Ensure safety of children and adherence to procedures.
• Staff-to-Children Ratios: Maintain correct ratios and organise cover when needed.
• Policy Implementation: Implement operational policies and systems.
• Operational Excellence: Manage sites effectively within budget and standards.
• Staff Management: Coach and develop programme staff.
• Resource Management: Plan rosters and resource allocation across sites.
• Incident Reporting: Oversee incident reporting and staff training on protocols.
