Job summary

sKids in New Zealand is hiring for leadership roles to launch new out-of-school programmes in the Whangaparaoa/Silverdale area. The Programme Manager position offers up to 25 hours per week, with before/after-school blocks and potential holiday hours.

You will lead activities, supervise children, and work within a school community that values supportive teamwork and positive guidance.

Qualifications

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
  • Reliable transportation around the area.
  • Positive, energetic, and can-do attitude.
  • Experience in childcare, education, coaching, camps, or similar.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience for Programme Manager roles.
  • Confidence working with groups of children.
  • Applicants for Programme Manager roles must be 20 years or older per regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and support a variety of activities including arts, sports, games, cooking, and creative play.
  • Supervise and engage with children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment.
  • Use positive behaviour guidance to support children with different needs.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff.
  • Support or lead day-to-day running of the programme from setup to pack-down.
  • Guide and support team members to deliver a high-quality programme.

Job Description

We’re recruiting for leadership roles for our upcoming new out of school programmes sitesaround the Whangaparaoa/ Silverdale area.

  • Programme Manager – minimum up to 25hours per week

Working Hours (Monday to Friday): (must have availabilities below)

  • Before School Care: 7:00am – 8:30am
  • After School Care: 2:30pm – 6:00pm (availability from 2:30pm is essential)
  • Potential additional hours may also be available during our Holiday Programmes (school holidays), for those looking for extra work.

No two days are the same at sKids! You’ll be part of a team creating a safe, fun, and engaging space where children can thrive.

Our programme operate within a school community with strong Christian values, so we’re looking for people who are comfortable supporting and working within this environment.

Depending on your role, you will:

  • Deliver and support a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, cooking, and creative play

  • Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and school staff
  • Support or lead the day-to-day running of the programme (Programme Manager and Assistant Programme Manager roles), ensuring smooth operations from set-up through to pack-down

You’ll bring:
