Job summary

CGR Services is seeking a Senior Programme Accountant in Wellington for a 12 month fixed-term role. You will provide financial leadership across a complex, multi-year programme, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, investment planning and governance support.

You will develop cost models, advise on business cases, and deliver insights to senior leadership to support executive decisions. Chartered Accountant status and strong modelling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CA qualification required or equivalent recognised by CAANZ.
• Proven experience supporting large programmes or capital portfolios.
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a multi-year programme.
• Develop and maintain complex programme cost models.

The Role
The Senior Programme Accountant will provide financial leadership and oversight across a complex, multi-year programme of work.

Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Chartered Accountant status (CAANZ or equivalent)
• Significant experience supporting large programmes, transformation initiatives, or capital investment portfolios
• Advanced financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting capability
• Experience contributing to business cases, investment planning, and benefits management
• Strong understanding of capital and operating expenditure management within programme environments
• Experience providing financial advice to senior leaders, governance groups, and executive stakeholders
