Job summary

Jora New Zealand is expanding its delivery team and seeks versatile Product Engineers to configure complex software solutions for clients. The role emphasises strong SQL, Python, and PowerShell skills, and acts as a technical authority guiding implementation end-to-end.

You will mentor engineers, bridge client needs with technically excellent, commercially viable outcomes, and work on real operational environments with modern OT projects.

Qualifications

• Senior level proficiency in SQL, Python, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience ensuring intuitive implementations with strong UX input.
• Experience with OT, Mining, Oil & Gas, or Utilities a bonus.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in software or engineering.
• Implement and configure flagship operational technology products.
• Integrate third-party enterprise systems including Cloud Data Platforms, ERP, CMMS, and BI.
• Design, build, deploy, and support real-time industrial applications using time-series historians.
• Provide second- and third-line technical support for deployed solutions.
• Provide hands-on guidance and unblock intermediate and graduate engineers.

About this role

Our client is expanding their delivery team and looking for versatile Product Engineers to focus on the configuration of complex software solutions to meet client needs. This role requires strong technical competence, including SQL coding, Python, and PowerShell scripting.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical authority, Guiding our product's implementation end-to-end and mentoring a talented team. You will bridge the gap between a customer’s operational reality and a technically excellent, commercially viable solution.

Key Requirements

• Senior level proficiency in SQL, Python, and PowerShell scripting.
• At least one person in the cohort must bring strong UX experience to ensure implementations are intuitive and consistent.
• Bonus nice-to-haves include experience in Operational Technology (OT), Mining, Oil & Gas, or Utilities, though core technical skills take precedence.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in software, engineering, or related technical fields.
