Goodman Fielder Limited in Auckland is seeking a Senior Product Development Technologist – Dairy to lead product development from concept through commercialisation. You will own projects, coordinate bench and factory trials, and partner with Marketing, Operations and Quality to deliver innovative dairy products.

The role requires 5+ years in dairy product development, a relevant degree, and strong project management with a hands-on, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product development experience within a dairy, FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with bench trials, factory trials, sensory evaluation and product commercialisation.
• Knowledge of food regulatory requirements, quality standards and food safety.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead new dairy product development, product improvements and cost-saving initiatives from concept to commercialisation.
• Manage project plans, timelines, costing and technical specifications to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Partner with Marketing, Operations, Quality and other stakeholders to bring products to market.
• Ensure products and processes meet regulatory, HACCP, quality and safety requirements.
• Coach and support junior technologists and build team capability.

Join Goodman Fielder as our **Senior Product Development Technologist – Dairy**, leading product development and innovation across our dairy portfolio.This is an exciting **fixed-term opportunity through to the end of August 2027**, where you'll take ownership of projects from formulation and bench trials through to factory trials and commercialisation.
