Job summary

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Infrastructure Development & Delivery team. Based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, you’ll lead procurement activity for major transport projects and shape sourcing strategies to deliver value for money and manage risk.

You’ll work with project leaders, delivery teams and suppliers to secure outcomes on New Zealand’s land transport capital programme, ensuring contracts are robust and commercial

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Government Procurement Rules and public sector procurement.
Experience delivering end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities.
Contract and supplier performance management expertise.
Commercial acumen with strong financial and data literacy.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end infrastructure procurement activity.
Develop sourcing strategies and procurement plans.
Partner with project and programme teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Contribute to stronger commercial discipline and delivery confidence across the infrastructure portfolio.
