Silver Fern Farms Te Aroha site is seeking an experienced Processing Manager to lead all processing operations, safety, quality and continuous improvement, reporting to the Site Manager.

This senior role emphasizes people leadership and capability development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on Lean principles and delivering exceptional operational results.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, processing or a similar production environment.
• Strong people leadership skills to coach, develop and inspire leaders and teams.
• Broad operational mindset across production, safety, quality and compliance.
• High capability in problem solving and decision making with Lean principles.
• Ability to connect with a diverse workforce and lead through change.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams by coaching leaders and fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive safe, efficient production that meets customer and business requirements.
• Champion health, safety and compliance across production operations and promote a strong safety culture.
• Identify lean opportunities to improve performance and support site development.
• Partner with the leadership team to align priorities and contribute to site strategy.
