Qualifications

• You must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• You should hold authorised vaccinator and CPR certification.
• NZ nursing experience, especially in the primary care sector, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and deliver appropriate clinical interventions.
• Provide health screening assessments.
• Assist with minor surgery and medical procedures.
• Inform and educate patients and their whanau about health related matters.

Skills

NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate

Authorised vaccinator and CPR certification

NZ Nursing experience, preferably in the primary care sector

Experience with diabetes management

Strong understanding of Maori culture

Excellent time management and prioritisation skills

Ability to communicate effectively

What you have to do

• Triage patients and deliver appropriate clinical interventions
• Provide health screening assessments
• Assist with minor surgery and medical procedures
• Follow up test results and initiate ongoing nursing support
• Inform and educate patients and their whanau about health related matters
• Assist patients and whanau to access health services
• Develop and maintain links with Maori, community, professional agencies and patient groups

Skills & Experience

• NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate
• Authorised vaccinator and CPR certification
• NZ Nursing experience, preferably in the primary care sector
• Experience with diabetes management is advantageous
• Strong understanding of Maori culture, perspectives and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop productive relationships
