As part of our cross-functional platform team, you will design and implement application solutions in the cloud, while driving technical research and development to enable ongoing innovation within the DevOps space. This is an opportunity to influence how platforms are engineered, while mentoring others and contributing to a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions in public cloud environments, particularly AWS.
  • Enhance automation and Infrastructure as Code delivery to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
  • Partner with development teams to continuously improve engineering maturity and delivery practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues, developing tools and systems for automation.
  • Contribute to research and development of cloud-native and on-premises solutions.
  • Support and manage DevOps toolsets, observability solutions, and middleware layers.
  • Act as Scrum Master when required, contributing to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and user story refinement.
  • Provide rostered after-hours on-call support as needed.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers, while fostering a DevOps-focused culture across the team.
About You
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Strong track record in designing and implementing complex DevOps solutions.
  • Proficient in monitoring and observability platforms (New Relic, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, LogRhythm).
  • Familiar with deployment strategies such as Canary and Blue/Green.
  • Strong experience with version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab).
  • Proven ability to mentor, collaborate, and work effectively across teams.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).
What We Offer
  • The opportunity to influence and deliver cutting-edge platform engineering practices.
  • A supportive and collaborative environment where your expertise will make a measurable impact.
  • The chance to mentor, lead, and grow within a forward-thinking organisation.
