Job summary

Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities in Wellington seeks a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer to join the Enterprise Digital Tooling Platform team. You will own engineering, automation, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise tooling platforms that support delivery and operations across the organisation.

The role focuses on secure, resilient, and scalable platforms working with ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Experience operating enterprise technology platforms with focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
• Proven track record leading complex engineering initiatives and incident resolution.
• Strong IT service management, risk management, and security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance enterprise tooling platforms to improve delivery and service operations.
• Champion DevOps practices, drive automation, and ensure platforms are secure, resilient and scalable.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and promote engineering standards across teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Technology and the wider business to deliver strategic initiatives.
