About The Mahi (role)

We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our expanding Hamilton Team.

This is a diverse and rewarding role with the opportunity to work across different services, including a range of ACC Contracts, Med Fees, Acute MSK conditions ICP, Private Hospitals.

You'll be part of a large supportive team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, hand therapist and psychologists. Our Kirikiriroa team is proud of its strong team culture, positive work environment and regular social events.

The role is based at our 1 London Street in the Beyond Radiology building, a newly purpose-built mutlidisciplinary centre, where you'll have the opportunity to work alongside orthorpaedic surgeons, sports doctor's, and the radiology team. We also have a second central location in the Hamilton CBD.

You'll be supported by the Hamilton clinic manager and an experienced multidisciplinary team. Ideally, we are looking for a full-time experienced Physiotherapist, but we welcome applications form all experience levels.

Key tasks include:

  • Demonstrate and practice advanced levels of practice in assessing and treating patients efficiently and safely.
  • Responsible for ensuring all contract clinical reports and referrer letters are completed at an acceptable standard within contracted timeframes.
  • Liaise effectively with consultants, family doctors, case managers and co-ordinators and allied health professionals.
  • Provide support, supervision and training to new graduate physiotherapists and students when required.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
  • Engagement in team meetings, quality audits, case discussions and internal further education to enhance quality of work and client outcomes.

Skills and Experiences:

About You

Our ideal candidate is someone with a great attitude who aligns with our vision and values, and has a minimum of 4 years clinical experience. Previous experience in musculoskeletal or sports physiotherapy or a relevant post-graduate qualification would be an advantage.

Substantial orientation, training, and support will be provided.
