Our dedicated community pharmacy team are seeking a Senior PACT Technician and Vaccinator to join us at our on-site community pharmacy Pharmacy on Meade.
As a Senior PACT Technician working in Pharmacy on Meade, you will play a key role in the provision of community pharmacy services located right within the vibrant hub of Waikato Hospital campus. Youll be working alongside and have direct links to a multidisciplinary team of specialists, doctors, nurses and outpatient clinics. This role will also provide exposure to management as you will oversee the dispensary technician team in Pharmacy on Meade, Dispensary Technician rostering, running daily and monthly reports and liaising with the team leader to improve services and beneficial outcomes for our community pharmacy. You will be an integral part of the wider hospital pharmacy team as well as the larger hospital multi-disciplinary team.
You will increase your clinical knowledge not only with our connections to the different specialised areas in the hospital, but also with the fact that the majority of our prescriptions are discharge prescriptions which are often quite specialised. We also deal with compassionate supply medications and NPPA prescriptions.
Day to day, you will be part of a supportive and friendly team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and a pharmacy assistant. We offer dispensing, compounding, vaccinations and clinical services to patients, visitors and hospital employees. We pride ourselves on excellent retail customer service which is also an important component of the role.

We offer a better work life balance with our hours being 8am- 5:30pm, occasional rostered Saturdays. No Sundays or Public Holidays.
The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Collective Agreement. Additional benefits include Kiwisaver contributions (if eligible), overtime and penal allowances, professional development and wellness support.
