Job summary

MBIE's Kānoa unit in Wellington is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to join the Business Systems and Intelligence (BSI) team. You will deliver performance, outcomes and evaluation reporting for Kānoa investments, focusing on the Regional Infrastructure Fund, by combining financial, administrative and external data to generate clear, evidence-based insights.

You'll lead substantial analytical products, translate complex information into practical advice for ministerial briefings and public

Qualifications

• Experience in monitoring, evaluation, performance measurement or outcomes analysis.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with insights.
• Experience developing performance reports and advice for senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, SQL, R or Python.
• Experience resolving data quality issues and QA processes.
• Strong project management and prioritisation abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Understanding of public sector accountability and machinery of government.
• Tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
