Kidz First Senior Medical Officer (Paediatrics) role based at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland offers a fixed-term opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to paediatric care for tamariki and whaanau. You will contribute to inpatient, ED, and outpatient services while leading improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Be eligible for registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
• Paediatric vocational scope of practice and Paediatric emergency medicine specialist (PEMS) training is preferred.
• Commitment to Evidence-based practice and quality measures.
• Demonstrate effective communication, critical thinking and striving to improve health inequities.
• Be a team player that can traverse across services and collaborate with diverse disciplines.
• Experience working with Māori, Pacific and culturally diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• 1:6 ward weeks, including weekends.
• Rostered days in the Emergency Department, leading teams of paediatric RMOs.
• Participation in outpatient clinics and follow-up care.
• Opportunities to lead and engage in improvement projects that align with your passions.
