Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Whangārei Hospital, Northland, seeks an experienced Otolaryngologist / Head and Neck Surgeon to join the ENT Department. Based at Whangārei with travel to rural hospitals as required, you will provide elective and acute otolaryngology care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Vocational registration with NZ Medical Council in Otolaryngology required.
• Experience as an Otolaryngology surgeon in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage elective and acute otolaryngology patients.
• Participate in the Consultant on-call roster and provide specialist advice.
• Supervise and teach junior medical staff and other health professionals.
• Contribute to quality improvement and service development.
• Collaborate with ENT, nursing, registrars, house officers and wider teams.
