Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Early Psychosis Intervention Team (EPIT) in Auckland. The role focuses on advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, and service development for young adults with early psychosis or at-risk mental states.

You will provide autonomous and collaborative practice, mentoring staff and leading improvements in care delivery within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Mental Health scope of practice.
• 5+ years of clinical experience in Mental Health & Addictions.
• Masters degree in nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced mental health assessment, diagnosis and management.
• Prescribe and manage medications within scope of practice.
• Provide expert clinical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor and develop nursing colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead quality improvement, research and service development initiatives.
