Alignerr is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI Data Trainer) to author high-fidelity reasoning traces that teach LLMs to think step by step. This is a fully remote hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

You will decompose complex problems into explicit, well‑documented steps, review traces for quality and depth, and design data strategies that help models navigate multi‑step tasks with reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine learning, AI research, or related technical field.
• Ability to decompose hard problems into explicit, documented steps.
• Familiar with LLM evaluation methodologies, training pipelines, or RLHF-style feedback.
• Clear, precise technical writing to make complex reasoning legible.

Responsibilities

• Author high-fidelity reasoning traces for LLMs across technical tasks.
• Break down real-world problems into clear decision steps.
• Review traces from other contributors for quality and depth.
• Design data strategies to help models navigate multi-step scenarios.
• Provide architectural insights to improve handling of edge cases.
