Job summary

New Zealand Warriors Team Store in Auckland is seeking an experienced Senior Merchandise Planner for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role blends planning, stock, sales and commercial performance, with a data-driven approach to decision making.

You will develop sales, stock and margin plans, manage allocations across stores and online, forecast intake, analyze product performance and support pricing and promotions, while partnering with merchandising, retail and ecommerce teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandise planning or senior planning roles.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills with large datasets.
• Experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce/inventory platform.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, margin and OTB principles.
• Analytical and numerical skills with ability to derive insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage sales, stock and margin plans including budgeting and OTB.
• Manage stock allocations, replenishment and stock flow across stores and online.
• Develop accurate order forecasts and support future intake planning.
• Analyse product performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability.
• Support pricing, promotions and clearance strategies to drive outcomes.
• Maintain planning tools and deliver regular sales, stock and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with merchandising, retail, ecommerce and operations teams.
