Job summary

dentsu Aotearoa Limited in Auckland is seeking a Senior Executive to lead media planning and buying for client campaigns. You will collaborate with internal teams, media partners, and clients to deliver effective media outcomes, while supporting planning, reporting and client engagement activities.

The role focuses on implementing media plans across TV, radio, OOH and print, with strong emphasis on accuracy, timelines, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a media agency or media buying/planning environment with experience in TV, radio, OOH and print.
• Strong knowledge of the media landscape, audience measurement tools and media terminology.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage with clients and media partners.
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
• A collaborative team player who is curious, proactive and motivated to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage media plans, including negotiating and buying media across a range of channels.
• Develop and maintain media schedules, evaluate audience insights and identify opportunities that support client objectives.
• Prepare and present campaign reports, post-analysis, competitive reviews and planning recommendations.
• Build strong relationships with media partners, suppliers and client stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign delivery.
• Manage bookings, reporting and billing processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The role:

As a Senior Executive, you will play a key role in the implementation, planning and buying of media activity on behalf of our clients. Working across a variety of traditional media channels, you will collaborate with internal specialists, media partners and clients to deliver effective media outcomes while contributing to planning, reporting and client engagement activities.
