This team is responsible for all of our media planning and buying for dozens of brands across multiple continents, making it an incredibly unique opportunity in New Zealand. Within this team we are recruiting for a Senior Media Buying Executive for our Toys business.

The Senior Media Buying Executive will run the paid media campaigns in Tier 1 markets like the USA for brands such as XSHOT, Mini Brands and Bunch o Balloons. ZURU is one of the biggest Toys distributors in the world so this presents an opportunity to run exciting market-leading campaigns for some of the biggest brands in the business on the world stage.

Our activity runs primarily across TikTok, Google, Meta and The Trade Desk. Our primary focus is to deliver exceptional campaigns on these platforms, working with the tech partners to get the most out of their products and our content to deliver efficient and effective media campaigns. There is room to test and learn on other platforms, e.g. Snap, but at its heart the role is looking for a candidate who wants to become the best of the best at winning on those core platforms.

Essential to success will be the relationships built with the multiple teams including Media Planning, Data & Analytics, Content and Global Marketing teams to ensure all campaigns ladder up and deliver on business objectives. All resource sits in-house at ZURU which is a fantastic platform to drive innovative, agile and effective work based on consumer insights and trends whilst learning from some of the brightest minds in the industry. The Buying team are also responsible for how these campaigns are reported on and how insights are surfaced across our brand and commercial teams to drive effective retailer conversations.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Create, oversee and execute digital paid amplification campaigns
  • Drive campaign execution to meet key performance metrics across Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, The Trade Desk and other relevant platforms
  • Work with an off-shore team in India on campaign execution
  • Lead campaign delivery for Tier 1 markets (e.g. the US)
  • Oversee campaigns for campaigns across all global markets and regions
  • Utilise technology to automate and improve output
  • Work collaboratively and progressively with tech partners
  • Evolve the reporting structure and cadence delivered at a global level
Skills & Experience
  • 2+ solid years’ experience in Digital Media Buying
  • Media buying experience working with Facebook Business Manager, The Trade Desk, Google ad products and TikTok Ads Manager is optimal
  • A strong work ethic with a bias for action
  • Openness to listen, learn and adapt to always do better
  • Comfortable sharing opinions in a productive manner
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritise, stay organised, and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to take responsibility and accountability for the work of the team
  • Toys, entertainment or retail experience is preferable but not essential
  • You will be excited to contribute to our office culture!
