Job summary

SYOS Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Mechatronics Engineer to own design, integration and testing of autonomous platforms. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, embedded software and systems engineering to turn concepts into field-ready products.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, help lift technical capability, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver robust mechatronic solutions from prototype through deployment in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' relevant engineering experience, ideally in robotics, aerospace, defence, autonomous systems or a similar environment.
• Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Software, Computer Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience with mechatronic and embedded systems.
• Practical C/C++ development experience.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and system-level testing.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and work independently.
• Experience mentoring or technically supporting junior engineers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A hands-on, practical approach and genuine passion for robotics, aerospace and autonomous systems.
