The Role

  • Managing and mentoring junior tax specialists to ensure the delivery of high-quality client service.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring timely, effective communication.
  • Conducting comprehensive research across relevant materials and information sources to produce well-reasoned, analytical tax opinions.
  • Interpreting and applying research findings to specific client scenarios, including evaluating alternative positions and potential adverse outcomes.
  • Demonstrating familiarity with the tax lodgement programme and associated payment obligations.

  • Effectively utilising compliance procedures to identify and assess potential tax planning opportunities.
  • Demonstrating working knowledge of relevant non-tax financial matters as they relate to the broader advisory function.

What You Will Bring to Our Team:

  • A minimum of five years' tax experience, ideally within a professional services firm or a combination of professional services and corporate tax roles, with specific exposure to New Zealand tax regulations
