Financial Crime doesn’t stand still, and neither can we. We’re looking for an experienced financial crime professional to join our Financial Crime Compliance team. As the Senior Manager, Financial Crime, you’ll protect our clients and business from evolving and dynamic threats. Reporting directly to the General Manager Risk and AML/CFT Officer, you will lead a team of financial crime and fraud SMEs. You will combine technical expertise and commercial judgement to turn complex obligations into practical solutions.

If you’re someone who enjoys staying one step ahead, asking the right questions and turning complexity into action, this could be a great next move.

Key Responsibilities

In this leadership role, you will:

  • Provide specialist financial crime advice across business projects and initiatives
  • Identify and assess risks across AML/CFT, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, foreign tax and anti-tax evasion
  • Assess the design and operational effectiveness of key controls, identifying gaps and opportunities to strengthen the control environment
  • Provide insight and constructive challenge on financial crime issues and incidents
  • Build strong relationships across the business, working closely with Line 1 teams, industry peers and relevant working groups
  • Lead, coach and develop team members, building capability and supporting strong performance
  • Ensure that Fisher Funds' AML/CFT and Fraud Prevention Programmes and Risk Assessment are kept up-to-date and fit for purpose, in response to continuously evolving risks and regulatory expectations.
  • Keep ahead of emerging fraud trends, techniques and tools, translating what you see into meaningful action.
  • Lead and support financial crime investigations, working with Technology and Operations where cyber risk and financial crime intersect.

Skills & Experience:

We’re looking for someone who brings technical depth without losing sight of the bigger picture.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Deep knowledge of financial crime risks, financial services legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Significant experience across FATCA, AEOI/CRS and fraud risk management.
  • A positive and pragmatic leadership style, supported by integrity and empathy
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, using data and trends to shape strategic recommendations with pragmatism and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, challenge and influence at different levels and make complex information clear and actionable.
  • Experience assessing controls and providing advice on complex business or regulatory change
