Job summary

The Ministry of Education in New Zealand seeks a General Manager, Curriculum Implementation and Integration to lead the strategic integration of curriculum products and services for learners and educators across Aotearoa.

You will oversee delivery across portfolios, shape priorities through evidence, and drive cross-cutting innovations while managing change in a high-visibility environment. You will foster an inclusive, high-performing culture and strong partnerships with Māori and iwi.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in a complex organisation or system environment.
• Proven track record of delivering integrated strategic and operational plans including budget oversight.
• Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning practice in large educational contexts.
• Experience building relationships with Māori and iwi; politically astute, with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic integration of curriculum products, services and delivery across portfolios.
• Develop Te Poutāhū's approach to delivering curriculum and assessment into the sector; ensure coordinated implementation.
• Monitor product and service effectiveness; use evidence to inform future priorities and decisions.
• Drive cross-cutting strategies, champion innovation and sustain high performance in a dynamic environment.
