Job summary

The New Zealand Government is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to join Te Toka Tumai, Auckland. This full-time, permanent position plays a critical role in providing a full range of interventional radiology procedures and overseeing both in-patient and out-patient care.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications, including a post-graduate radiology qualification, and will work across multiple sites to deliver exceptional care in a supportive, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Fully registered medical practitioner with the New Zealand Medical Council.
• Eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand if currently international.
• Fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist with specialist experience.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary IR team within a large public hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour IR care in the Northern Region.
• Oversee in-patient and out-patient care, including dedicated IR outpatient clinics.
• Perform a full range of IR procedures.
• Lead and attend multi-disciplinary meetings in areas of interest.
• Report on non-invasive imaging studies.
