Kāinga Ora is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to provide technical leadership, expert guidance, and advanced operational support across our enterprise technology landscape.
As a trusted senior engineer, you'll provide senior operational support across our enterprise technology environment while leading complex technical initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and helping modernise our infrastructure platforms. You'll act as a key escalation point for critical issues, mentor engineers across the team, and help raise engineering standards through automation, standardisation, and best practice.
You’ll join a team responsible for supporting and evolving a complex enterprise environment spanning cloud, identity, collaboration, networking, security, and core infrastructure services.
We are looking for a senior engineer who combines strong operational infrastructure experience with a passion for continuous improvement and modern engineering practices. You'll be someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and looks for opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and service quality through automation and standardisation.
Note: This position involves occasional work outside standard business hours and participation in an on‑call standby roster.
