Momentum Consulting is seeking a Senior Human-Centred Designer for an urgent 3-month contract in Auckland. You will lead UX discovery, service design and stakeholder workshops to shape a future-state customer experience.

Working across business, operational and technology teams, you’ll translate research into deliverable experiences, map journeys and blueprints, and collaborate with analysts and delivery squads in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong UX research and human-centred design experience.
  • Service design experience including journey mapping and service blueprints.
  • Experience with current and future-state process mapping.
  • Strong user research and usability testing capability.
  • Capability to facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex research into clear recommendations.

Senior Human-Centred Designer - urgent contract

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Human-Centred Designer to join a significant digital initiative, helping shape a new customer experience from discovery through to future-state design.

This is primarily a UX/service design role, but you’ll also need to be comfortable supporting some BA-style activities, particularly process and current/future-state mapping.

About the role

About you You’ll bring strong experience across UX, service design and human-centred design, ideally within complex digital programmes.

We’re particularly interested in:

  • Strong UX research and human-centred design experience.
  • Service design experience, including journey mapping and service blueprints.
  • Experience with current and future-state process mapping.
  • Strong user research and usability testing capability.
  • Confidence facilitating workshops and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • The ability to synthesise complex research and insights into clear recommendations.
  • Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Miro, Figma, Optimal Workshop and Askable.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity and work effectively across customer, business and technology perspectives.
Contract: 3 months, through to 18 December 2026
Location: Auckland
Rate: $120 per hour + GST
Start: ASAP

You’ll need to be available immediately and able to commit for the full contract period.
