Job summary

LDE, an AtkinsRéalis Company, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in Whangārei to join our NZ-wide team. You will contribute to diverse commercial, residential and coastal projects with a focus on geotechnical design and site investigations.

You will bring 5–7 years of NZ experience, a relevant engineering degree, and a clean NZ license. CPEng pathway is supported as you advance your accreditation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering (bachelor’s degree or diploma).
• 5–7 years of relevant New Zealand experience; Northland exposure advantageous.
• Valid NZ driver’s licence (restricted and clean).
• Experience in foundation, retaining wall and ground improvement design.
• Ability to plan and undertake detailed site investigations.
• CPEng or goal toward CPEng accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects through the full project life cycle.
• Conduct site investigations, analyse data and prepare reports.
• Provide technical leadership on foundations and ground improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at LDE you will be an integral part in the project life cycle. Keeping busy will be easy but a balance between work and life is compulsory at LDE and our flexible working hours support this.
