Job summary

New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) Wellington Central invites an experienced Principal Geospatial Engineer to shape enterprise geospatial capabilities across the transport network. You will act as a trusted technical authority and partner with senior leaders to scale geospatial solutions.

You will coach and mentor technical specialists, lead the Geospatial Community of Practice, and drive innovation, governance and continuous improvement across squads, programs and external partners.

Qualifications

Extensive experience delivering enterprise geospatial solutions and web mapping.
Proven mentoring and developing technical specialists to build capability.
Ability to influence senior leaders and provide trusted technical advice.
Strong experience managing enterprise geospatial platforms and services.

Responsibilities

Lead geospatial engineering across NZTA's transport network.
Coach and mentor geospatial teams and influence technical practice.
Drive governance, innovation and knowledge sharing through the Geospatial Community of Practice.
