The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Genetics/Genomics with 6+ years of post-doctoral experience and proficiency in NGS data analysis, PLINK, and R, backed by a strong publication record. You will mentor junior researchers and collaborate with clinicians while upholding ethical research practices.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of post-doctoral or equivalent research experience in human genetics or genomics.
• Proven experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis pipelines.
• Proficiency in statistical genetics methods and software (e.g., PLINK, R packages).
• Experience with common bioinformatics tools and databases.
• Strong understanding of population genetics principles.
• Demonstrated ability to independently design, execute, and interpret genetic studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong publication record.
• Experience in mentoring junior scientists or students.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement genetic research projects, including case-control studies and family-based studies.
• Perform advanced analysis of genomic data, including WGS, WES, and SNP array data.
• Utilize bioinformatics tools and pipelines for variant calling, annotation, and interpretation.
• Develop and apply statistical methods for genetic association studies.
• Collaborate with clinicians and biologists to investigate the genetic basis of diseases.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
• Mentor junior researchers and graduate students in genetic analysis techniques.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in genomics and bioinformatics.
