Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in software development across enterprise applications.
• Proven hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).
• Experience deploying via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts clearly.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing Wellington-based squad on a contract basis.

You’ll play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale applications ensuring reliable, secure, and user-focused outcomes for the business.

React | TypeScript | Java | Node.js

What you’ll do

• Build and deliver high-quality solutions that meet agreed requirements.
• Contribute across the full SDLC – development, testing, release, and documentation.
• Work as part of an agile squad, participating in stand-ups, planning, retros, and demos.
• Collaborate with BA’s, testers, and other developers to improve user experience.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents when required.
• Support continuous improvement across practices, tools, and delivery.
• Engage in guilds and chapters to share knowledge and uplift the wider community.

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience in software development across enterprise applications.
• Proven hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).
• Experience deploying via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts clearly.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

Desirable

• Previous experience in Agile, SCRUM, or KANBAN environments.
• Mentoring and coaching capability for junior developers.
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration.
• Experience with automated test frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
• Background in production monitoring and incident resolution.
• Domain experience in banking or financial services.
