CGR Services in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a global fintech org focused on cross-border payments. You will own frontend and backend features, design APIs, and drive reliability and production delivery.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10+ years of experience building production-grade web applications end-to-end.
• Strong frontend development experience using Vue.js or React.
• Strong backend development experience with C#/.NET; others accepted.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD, and modern deployment (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda).
• Deep understanding of software architecture, microservices, SOA, and event-driven systems.
• Experience in payments/fintech or regulated industries.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, architecture decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own customer-facing features and backend services across the full technology stack.
• Build and maintain platforms supporting onboarding, compliance, payments, foreign exchange, settlement, and related financial services.
• Lead the delivery of high-impact customer features from concept through production deployment.
• Own production health and operational excellence within your domain, including observability, reliability, incident response, and on-call support.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Compliance, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Lead technical design reviews, define architecture decisions, and establish engineering best practices.
• Mentor and support the growth of mid-level engineers through technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Drive modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy systems to modern cloud-native architectures.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted software development tools and practices across the software development lifecycle.
