Job summary

Arvion Services in Christchurch, NZ seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own end-to-end development across frontend, backend, and platform services for a global fintech organization focused on cross-border payments.

You will lead technical design, ensure production reliability, mentor engineers, and drive modern cloud-native architectures while embracing AI-assisted tooling and secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10+ years of experience delivering production-grade web applications end-to-end.
• Frontend development with Vue.js/React or similar frameworks.
• Backend development with C#/.NET; Java/Kotlin/Go acceptable.
• Relational SQL databases experience.
• Experience with automated tests in SDLC.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot).
• Strong AWS, CI/CD and modern deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own customer-facing features and backend services across the full stack.
• Build and maintain platforms for onboarding, compliance, payments, FX, and settlement.
• Lead delivery of high-impact customer features from concept to production.
• Own production health, observability, incident response and on-call support.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Compliance and Engineering to deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead design reviews, architecture decisions and engineering best practices.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and drive technical growth.
• Drive modernization including cloud-native migrations and SOA./microservices.
• Champion AI-assisted tooling across the software lifecycle.
