Job summary

Resideo is seeking a Senior Developer to shape connected security and smart-building experiences. You will lead the development of security video products and integrate them with the Resideo ecosystem, including security panels and thermostats.

You will drive architecture, mentor teammates, and collaborate across product, UX, firmware, cloud, and security teams to deliver reliable, secure software at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of object-oriented programming using C/C++.
• 3+ years of Linux experience (embedded Linux, Yocto).
• Embedded product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve high quality software products.
• Participate in building a high-performance team and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Provide technical leadership: define architecture and engineering standards.
• Develop across a single code base to enable multiple products.
• Work on video features: live streaming, recording, event detection, and device connectivity.
• Ensure secure, reliable, scalable systems with strong observability.
• Collaborate with product, UX, firmware, cloud, and security teams to ship customer experiences.
• Mentor other developers through coaching and code reviews.
