Job summary
Downer is seeking a Finance Business Partner for its Telco New Zealand team, based at Kerrs Road, Auckland. This senior role partners with operational and commercial leaders to deliver strategic financial insights and drive performance across major telecom contracts.
The role reports to the Finance Manager - Telco NZ and offers long-term growth, development opportunities, and exposure to Tier 1 contracts within a leading infrastructure services company.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Project Accounting or Management Accounting.
- CA or CPA qualification, with a tertiary degree in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline.
- Experience in infrastructure/telecom/contract-based industries and strong stakeholder influence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans for the Telco NZ portfolio.
- Deliver accurate financial reporting, insights and performance analysis for decision-making.
- Develop and maintain project financial models, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Partner with operational, engineering, commercial and finance teams to drive performance.
- Support major project bids and commercial opportunities through pricing and modelling.
