About The Role

Reporting to the NZ CFO, you will lead commercial decision support to drive growth and continuous improvement, and provide financial oversight for South Island operations. Our sites in Christchurch and Ashburton provide sales, distribution, and manufacturing capability across the South Island.

Day-to-day financial transactions are processed by a centrally managed team, freeing you up to focus on value-added activities and more complex financial analysis to support the business.

What will you do?

  • Drive commercial improvements in Operations, in coordination with manufacturing and distribution site managers
  • Support the Sales team on large business development opportunities to maximize profitability
  • Be responsible for business planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for the Agriculture market segment and South Island sites
  • Be responsible for providing commercial and financial input to, and oversight of, capital spend for the whole of NZ
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic projects that focus on business growth and improvement
  • Actively participate in building a safety-first culture and support Aliaxis national, regional, and global safety standards deployment

About You

  • You are a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen who can translate financial data into meaningful insights
  • You are eager to develop a deep understanding of both internal and external customers and are committed to exceeding their expectations
  • You can demonstrate a solutions-focused approach with a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation in business processes
  • Demonstrated track record in commercial management resulting in business growth
  • You have experience in managing the financial aspects of CAPEX projects from business case through to post-implementation reviews
  • You have experience in engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver the best possible outcomes

Technical Skills

  • CA Certification (or recognized equivalent) with strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting experience
  • Extensive experience in cost accounting, project accounting, or operational finance and a background in manufacturing or supply chain
  • Expertise in Financial modeling skills, advanced knowledge of Excel, and practical experience with Power BI
