Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Finance Business Partner to lead our Finance Business Partnering function. This pivotal role is a blend of strategy, analysis, financial modelling and relationship management—perfect for someone who thrives on turning financial data into actionable insight.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Finance, you’ll play a key part in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, while supporting business decision-making across the organisation. You’ll work closely with budget holders and the wider Corporate Finance team, developing impactful reporting tools and building financial capability across CID.

Key responsibilities you’ll enjoy include:

  • Providing financial leadership across the organisation
  • Partnering with budget holders to set and manage budgets and forecasts
  • Producing high-quality financial reports and insightful analysis
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reporting frameworks
  • Improving financial systems, processes, and automation
  • Supporting month-end processes and maintain reporting consistency
  • Contributing to company-wide strategic planning and continuous improvement

The opportunity is a permanent, full-time position with flexible working conditions that include hybrid work arrangements.

Ko koe tēnei | About You

Our ideal Senior Finance Business Partner will possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting (Chartered Accountant preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a finance business partnering role
  • Advanced understanding of financial, management and systems accounting
  • Proven ability to build and maintain financial models and reports
  • Strong skills in Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving work environment.
