As a Senior Environment and Sustainability Advisor, you will provide support in the areas of environment and sustainability to ensure that our work is to best practice standards and within budgetary constraints, while providing value-for-money for our customers. Our REAL values will drive everything you do.

You will support the NZ Construction team by providing environmental and sustainability support across the project life-cycle, from tendering and early contractor involvement through to on-site delivery and project close-out.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Provide tender submission support
  • Provide environmental planning advice and on-site operational support
  • Prepare environmental management plans and programmes and assist in their implementation (including inspections and audits)
  • Deliver environmental and sustainability training programmes
  • Deliver sustainability rating programmes
  • Support incident response and investigations (including near miss reporting)
  • Communicate good practice and lessons learned across the business.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Formal qualification in Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Planning or similar
  • 5 years’ practical experience in environment and sustainability management within the construction sector (or similar)
  • Experience and/or familiarity in implementation of Sustainability Programmes / Frameworks (ideally ISC)
  • Current Full Class 1 driver’s licence
