Senior Bridge Engineer | Whangārei

Senior Bridge Engineer opportunity in WSP New Zealand's Whangārei office. The role offers potential to provide proactive leadership and management of the Whangārei Bridge Engineering team, contributing to the growth of the sub‑sector and the technical development of team members.

As a senior member of the Northland business, you’ll provide technical services with a focus on bridge and civil structures asset management, maintenance strategies, whole-of-life assessment, condition assessment, identification of options, design, reporting, technical documentation, project management and construction observation of transport projects.

Your effective leadership and engineering support will enable delivery of quality projects and the ongoing development of the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and management of the Whangārei Bridge Engineering team
• Deliver bridge and civil structures asset management, maintenance strategies, and whole-of-life assessments
• Conduct condition assessments, identify options, and contribute to design, reporting and technical documentation
• Manage projects, including planning, coordination, and construction observation of transport projects
• Support team development and growth within the sub‑sector

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualification (ideally BEng in Civil Engineering or related)
• Preferably 10+ years’ professional experience
• CPEng
• Current clean driver's licence
