Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Airvo New Platforms team. You will drive the platform's evolution, tackle challenging engineering problems, and work across the business to deliver impactful respiratory care solutions.

The role requires ownership, strong communication, and the ability to mentor other engineers, with a focus on delivering concepts through to release and improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification in mechanical/biomedical engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years product development in medical devices or similarly complex engineering environments.
• Experience delivering development projects from concept to release.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guide teams through complex challenges.
• Experience mentoring engineers to build capability and achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape Airvo platform development within the New Platforms team.
• Drive projects from concept through to implementation and release.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Provide technical direction and solve complex engineering problems.
• Foster a proactive, responsible approach to developing innovative patient-care products.
