Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Ideally 10+ years of professional experience in 3 Waters engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Hold Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working towards this.
• Proven experience in a seller/doer role, with a strong track record of identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities.
• An established civil and water engineering professional network within the Bay of Plenty region.
• Strong technical, analytical, and project management capabilities.
• A client-focused mindset with a passion for sustainable, practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality investigations, analysis, and reporting across 3 Waters projects.
• Prepare practical, buildable designs and treatment solutions, including calculations and drawings.
• Lead feasibility studies and produce reports that support client decision-making.
• Support clients with asset condition assessments, renewals planning, and long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with LTP and AMP requirements.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the region.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients as a go-to technical advisor.
• Lead or contribute to proposals, bids, and presentations aligned with client needs and WSP’s strategic goals.
• Assist in preparing project briefs, fee estimates, and manage projects with clear reporting.
