Job summary

Enphase Energy is seeking Embedded Software Engineers in Christchurch to join our engineering team. You will develop embedded software for microgrid products, including inverters and gateway devices, transitioning work from concept to production and collaborating with teams in California, Texas, India, and New Zealand.

You will work in a multi-site Software Engineering group, focusing on autonomous grid control, management and regulation, within our Christchurch based R&D Centres.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering plus minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle with hands-on design, development and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI and agentic coding tools to accelerate software development while applying hands-on skills and sound engineering judgement to design, implement, verify, and maintain embedded software.
• Design and implement software to run under embedded Linux on resource constrained microprocessor based systems
• Carry design tasks from concept to implementation
• Document engineering requirements and solutions
• Test new firmware and debug and troubleshoot issues in complex systems
• Work with cross functional teams to test and troubleshoot issues
