Job summary
Enphase Energy in Christchurch, NZ, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our software engineering team. You will develop embedded software for our microgrid products, including inverters and gateway devices, collaborating across teams in NZ, the US, and India from our Christchurch R&D centres.
You will design, implement and test software running on embedded Linux, with exposure to real-time controls, multithreading, and cross‑compilation.
Qualifications
- BS Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering with minimum 2 years' experience.
- Experience in embedded software development and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of real-time systems, multithreading and inter‑process communication.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle, version control and debugging.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software to run under embedded Linux on resource-constrained microprocessor systems.
- Carry design tasks from concept to implementation.
- Document engineering requirements and solutions.
- Test new firmware and debug issues in complex systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and troubleshoot issues.
