Job summary

Halter is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join its Failure Analysis team. You will diagnose and root-cause failures in highly integrated hardware used globally, from board level to field data.

You will mentor engineers, improve diagnostic processes, and work with hardware, firmware, production and supplier quality teams to ensure reliability. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role focused on enduring hardware performance, with impact across farming operations worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing field failures and linking events to product failure modes.
• Hands-on diagnosis of boards and components at the board level.
• Strong grounding in analog, digital, power and RF fundamentals.
• Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts to trace faults.
• Clear communication to cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
• Proactive in recruiting and building a strong failure‑analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Own highest-impact electronic failure modes and drive root cause.
• Debug at sub-system and component level including power, RF, batteries.
• Use EE diagnostic tools to isolate faults and verify fixes.
• Relate field events to hardware failures and drive corrective actions.
• Improve processes and tooling to raise diagnostic accuracy.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, production and supplier quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
• Support recruitment and help build a world-class team.
